AAWU EDUCATION FOUNDATION
The AAUW Educational Foundation is the world’s largest source of funding exclusively for graduate women. Each year the Foundation provides about $4 million in fellowships, grants, and awards for outstanding women around the globe and for community action projects. University Scholar-in Residence
- Purpose
- Undertakes and disseminates research on gender and equity for women and girls

- Located at a college or University

- Up to $100,000 for a two-year project, depending on its nature

AAUW Achievement Award
- Purpose
- Presented biennially to a woman of outstanding achievement in an academic or professional field. Usually given to a mature woman whose accomplishment have spanned over 10 years or more.
- Criteria
- Work shall agree with the AAUW mission
- Must have national or international prominence
- Expected to make further contributions to the lives of women
- Must personally accept the award at the Foundation Night banquet during the biennial AAUW National Convention
- Award
- An honorarium of $10,000 accompanies the award

AAUW Recognition Award for Emerging Scholar
- Purpose
- Honors an untenured woman scholar who has a record of exceptional early professional accomplishments and demonstrates promise of future distinction. Open to all disciplines.
- Eligibility
- Earned a doctorate or equivalent on or after Jan. 1, 2000
- Untenured
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- Award
- Includes an honorarium of $5,000 and travel expenses to the June 2006 AAUW Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.

AAUW Founders Distinguished Senior Scholar Award
- Purpose
- Honors a woman scholar at the pinnacle of her academic career for a lifetime of outstanding research, teaching, publications, and impact on women in her profession and in the community. Open to all disciplines.
- Eligibility
- U.S. citizens or permanent residents
- Criteria
- Lifetime commitment to women’s issues in her profession or the community
- Demonstrated excellence in and commitment to teaching and mentoring female college or university students
- Significance and impact of applicant’s scholarship on her field
- Applicant’s total impact on her profession and the community
- Award
- Includes and honorarium of $5,000 and travel expenses to the June 2006 AAUW Leadership Conference in Washington, D.C.
